Stuffed Pets

When Billy saw the stuffed pets and as the narrator told us about it, it had became a big hint what might happen to Billy. The landlady said she always stuff her little pets whenever they passes away. What might she do when a handsome gentleman her beautiful house had attracted had passed away? Stuff him or them, too? Maybe. It's seriously NOT normal for any human to stuff their pet animal anytime, whether they are alive or dead! Billy might be one of the Landlady's "stuffed gentlemen" before he could leave.
This kind of writing of hinting the future of the story is "foreshadowing." This kind of writing is usually used in horror stories, because it can builds up suspense. Suspense makes the stories more enthusiastic.

The Landlady's Perfect Guest

The Landlady's idea of a perfect guest are young, polite gentlemen. She sounded as though she could predict the people coming to her boarding house. Her boarding house only attract handsome young men like Billy. Maybe she is going to kidnap the people that went there or even worse, she might kill them. Then do experiment or inappropriate things to it. The prize of the rooms are way too good to be true. Which is an other way to attract customers. Billy was a really naive guy that didn't thought about all the unusually things about the house and the Landlady and got himself into the mess.

The Landlady- Predictions

When Billy looked at the sigh of "Bed and Breakfast," I thought something is going wrong. It's quite impossible to have such a decent looking house besides all the other dilapidated and poor houses. Even when Billy is thinking about going to the pub, but still approaching toward the house, that was really weird. It's the kind of magical force grabbing Billy's attention and controlling his mind and body that was weird. When Billy went in there, a woman stood right there WAITING for him to arrive. Sounding like she already know about him and is certain that he will be arriving the time she stood there. Everything was so magical in a creepy way that people shouldn't like. But they still like it, because it is MAGICAL.

Bed and Breakfast

I saw a vase with yellow flowers, a green curtain hanging on the other side of the window. I moved my sight to the sign hanging on the top of the cafe looking house, it said "Bed and Breakfast." I skipped toward the window, as a man walking happily pass me, hoping to get more information about the place. I saw a bar and five or more tables there. There're more identical green curtain on the other window, but was tied to the side so it wouldn't fall and block the sight of the outside. There were about eight people in the place, five were sitting in front of the bar using up all the sits there, the other three were sitting at all three different table. No one were  talking except for the two girls sitting on the right side of the bar. They were giggling about things men don't understand. The waitress were cleaning up the table where no one sits. A half eaten ham sandwich were sitting there lonely without its other half, waiting to be picked up by the waitress. It was left by the man that went pass me as i moved toward the window.

“Broken Chain,” Thinking Critically

I don't think Alfonso's reaction is a like to mine, which means that  I don't think the way Alfonso thinks. He is more of a shy person, if i were a boy, i would never be shy like that. I would go out there and tell Sandra the truth and my situation, then hope that she'll understand it.. I wouldn't care if Sandra wouldn't like me after that date. There's so many other girl out there, better than Sandra. You can have a better future if you find some girl that wouldn't hate you for not having bike and don't want to understand other people's situation. Sometimes you can just see what kind of person you are dealing with considering the situation. I don't think Alfonso thinks a lot, he needs to use his brain more. Even if Sandra fall in love with him after that date, is he really going to stay by her side your whole life. It's just his first date, take it easy.

Advice Letter

Dear adviser,   My name is Alfonso. I wanted to ask you about my problem, what should I do if my older brother wouldn't borrow me his bike or any other stuff that belongs to him? I made good deals with him so that i can borrow his bike, but he refused to lend me it, and it's not even a nice looking one. I need two bikes so that me and Sandra(a girl i met and is going out with me on a bicycle ride) can hangout and have our first date. I did all I can do and think of just to let him lend me a rusty, not-as-good-as-mine bike. I offered him my trick-or-treat candies and he still refused because he said he don't want me to go out with Sandra. What did he have to do with this, what a bossy, evil brother. I can't stand him for not even caring about his only little brother, can't he just let me have a great time with my friend?? I really don't know what to do about this, I'm just asking for a little favor and even offered him all the candy I have and he still refused.

Broken Chain - Thinking Critically

In the story Alfonso is a shy teenager that tried to impress a girl on his first date. In some ways his action is somehow similar to other boys/girls on their first date. In another words, all teenagers want to have a perfect school life. Alfonso is a shy boy but he still want to look good on his first date and maybe even start an relationship. Same for girls, they may also be shy but they all want to be gorgeous on their first date, they definitely  want to have a boy friend, too. In the story Alfonso didn't have a function-able bicycle for him to ride around on, and his brother didn't really want to borrow Alfonso his. Finally Alfonso's bicycle finally collapsed, what Alfonso really want in that moment is a fully functioned bicycle, and I bet a lot of kids have the same dream similar to that (like me).

Popularity vs. Intelligence

Popularity is one major thing teenager wants in their life, but there's also people sacrifice time with friends for their school. Being popular is just like living in heaven. If you are one of the most popular people you may not have to worry about homework, because someone will do it for you to please you. They think of that idea to please you because they know all popular people sacrifice study time to hangout with his/her friends. There's also another problem about being popular, when you are popular you need to be afraid of loosing the popularity/friends.
Having intelligence is such a good thing, all kind of homework is a piece of cake to you. Your family and some teachers in school are very, very proud of you. They always say you can go to a great college and have a beautiful life. At the same time you wanted to have more time with your friends but you don't want to waste time just hanging around. maybe you keep up your high score or even improved but you might be loosing some friendship at the same time.
I rather have intelligence in my life, more than popularity. Maybe I didn't enjoy my teen-hood as much as other people, at least i can meet greater people in the rest of my life if i work hard enough now. Lots of popular people end up not so popular the rest of there lives.

What 13 or 14 years-old kids think about themselves

Most 13 and 14 years-old kids think their appearances are more important than their insides. Kids like them do whatever it takes to get into the popular group. These kids just want to have a perfect teen-hood and date the cool guys and cool girls. Guys in that age often think having girlfriend is a kind of way to show off. That's why the kid in "Broken Chain" wants to have his first date perfect, it's not just because he liked the girl but he also wants to be popular.
