An acrostic is a poem that the first syllable of each line in the text spells out a word or a message. As a form of constrained writing, an acrostic can be used as a mnemonic device to aid memory retrieval. In this journal entry, I will be making an acrostic with my name, and another one with my friend’s name.
Hantine Hsu:
How smart I am
An intelligent kid
No one can be compared with me
Talented at everything
Interested in social studies
Never give up on my work
Everything above is false
How dumb I am
Sitting in front of my computer all day
United Kingdom in my favorite place
Amber Luo:
A cute young girl
Many friends in school
Banana is her favorite fruit
Everything is always great with her
Respect all her friends
Laugh out loud a lot
Use her MacBook everyday
Oh, how people love her
